Where does my music come from? Well, its kind of hard to say! I suppose my earliest influence was David Bowie, in whom I developed a keen interest shortly before learning to play guitar. Whilst some of the first songs I learned to play were Bowie numbers - I think 'Space Oddity' was the first 'proper' song I got the hang of - it would be unfair to say that there is any real flavour of Bowie in the music I have produced over the years - I'm simply not that imaginitive!
Over the course of the time I have spent trying to make some sort of sound, I guess I have evolved into a largely acoustic player, but perhaps with some electric sentiment beneath the covers and I suppose that Neil Young has had an awful lot to do with that.
I learned to fingerpick the acoustic guitar by studying a Michelle Shocked video and she remains one of my favorite performers. Recently I've started playing electric guitar and there's some evidence of that on mydebut album, 'Don't Need Roads' which I've recently put together, produced and released.
