Michaelangelo

I see them walking through the door
Don't want to see it anymore
The faces are set with pain
Here they come, there they go again

In the room the women come and go
Talking of Michaelangelo
I sit here and watch the fall
Of the people walking by the wall

They stand in line as I pass them by
'Why do we wait?', I hear them cry
And as they wait I hear them say
'Whatever brought us to today?'

In the room the women come and go
Talking of Michaelangelo
I sit here and watch the fall
Of the people walking by the wall

I see them beckonging to me
Questioning why them and why not me?
Their helpless pain is all I see
Makes me wonder when my time will be?

In the room the women come and go
Talking of Michaelangelo
I sit here and watch the fall
Of the people walking by the wall

A hand on my shoulder, I turn around
I stare at my boots, I stare at the ground
NOw get in line I hear him say
I turn and follow, daylight fades away

In the room the women come and go
Talking of Michaelangelo
I sit here and watch the fall
Of the people walking by the wall
